**Those of you with autistic children might want to skip this - it's horrible, and absolute snake oil, and makes me fucking angry.
They call it MMS - Miracle Mineral Solution, and it consists of sodium chlorite and citric acid which, when mixed together, releases chlorine dioxide. It's closely aligned with anti-vaxxers, and people who babble on about Agenda 21, flat earthers etc.
These idiots believe some quack named Kerri Rivera has "cured" over 20 kids of autism in 30 months, or some similar utter bullshit, and runs a so-called BioMedical Autism Institute in Sth America somewhere (probably because she is not popular with US authorities).
The parents either have their autistic children drink this crap, OR, and even worse, they give them enemas of it. They then proudly post pictures of their children's bowel movements on the internet, pointing out the supposed "worms" that have been expelled from their child's gut - because apparently, that's what they believe causes autism, because some quack told them so 🙄. There have been cases where parents have taken these "worms" to labs to have them identified, and refuse to believe the results, showing that due to the toxicity of the chlorine dioxide, the "worms" are actually pieces of the child's gastrointestinal lining coming away.
Needless to say, if CPS catch on to any parents forcing this regimen on their child, they will remove said child. Immediately. It's utterly barbaric, and I really wish I'd never heard of it.

Old man Hal (another patriarchal, quiverful, self anointed gifted preacher) was into the MMS bullshit. Their kids were removed just before the Naugs. They and several of their followers were regular Naugler posters and supporters early on when the Naug kids were in custody, but I think the Naugs were too vulgar not fundy enough for that brand of crazy. I don’t know what’s going on with the Stanleys lately, but they got their kids back pretty quickly. Last I read Stan was looking for $$$ for his lawsuits, suits similar to NN’s. Interestingly it was the oldest Stanley kid, who was not living in the family home who turned his family in to CPS for the sake of his younger sibs. |

Fucking hell! What is wrong with people. I hope any assholes who do this shit to their kids lose custody permanently. Just love your kids. Take them to a developmental pediatrician. Do occupational therapy with them. There are so many choices out there that help without doing crazy, abusive shit like this. As a mother of an autistic child I have no desire to cure him, only to give him tools to succeed in the world.

Mom of autistic teen. I am of the opinion that people who do stupid, cruel, dehumanizing crap in the name of "curing" autism are punishing their kids for being embarassing. Straight up narcissism. My kid is proud to be autistic. Neurodiversity is powerful!
